Salt Wells Wyoming marks what might be one of the most amazing experiences out in the wild. This area had been rounded up just ten months prior to my first visit, to see horses so calm after 2100 of their brothers and sisters had been ripped away from this area that covers 1.5 million acres of protected public land was astounding. Generally after a roundup you see a lot of anxiety, stress and horses who simply want nothing to do with you. Although I did not see many horses, the ones I did, were other worldly. One stallion and his herd in particular are forever etched in my memories. He will forever be my Unicorn, Knight in Shining Armor and Vanishing Grace...my heart was full that day.
